The designers went a little nuts with the latest 2022 OGIO Fuse 4 Stand Bag! OGIO went vibrant and bold. The colors and patterns (including skulls and whiskey glasses) are like nothing we’ve seen from a major bag manufacturer! 2022 OGIO Fuse 4 Stand Bag: Specifications and Features
Weight
The weight of the OGIO Fuse 4 Stand Bag remains at 4.4 pounds, including the strap system.
This weight places the Fuse Bag within our preferred range and is one of the lighter bags OGIO has produced.
In setting our weight range, we consider both the pure weight of the bag and the tradeoff of weight versus features. Typically, the lighter the bag, the fewer features and the lower the quality of the materials. So, finding the absolute lowest-weight bag is not always the best path for selecting a bag.
Getting Clubs In and Out of the Bag
The OGIO Fuse 4 Stand Bag has a roundish 9.5″ four-way opening with full-length dividers.
In terms of “crowding,” the advantage of a four-opening top is that less of the top is devoted to the padded dividers, which can take up a significant amount of effective space. Also, the fewer the number of dividers, the easier it is for a golfer to slide clubs into the bag.
Ease of Carrying the Bag
The OGIO Fuse 4 Stand Bag has the Fit Disc Four Point Strap System, which joins the two wide and dense, ergonomic shoulder straps in a manner that allows each to move independently. The connecting disc allows each strap to adjust to better distribute the bag’s weight automatically.
For greater ease of carrying the bag, the Fuse has a generously padded hip panel to fit a golfer’s body more comfortably.
The bag has a top rim, padded spine, and bottom handles/handholds for easy lifting options.
OGIO continues to innovate its strap carry systems. The Fit Disc Four Point Strap System is a very comfortable carry.
Storage/Pockets
The OGIO Fuse 4 Stand Bag has six front-facing, including:
- Large apparel pocket
- Rapid Access (magnetic) Snap Ball Pocket
- Rapid Access Snap fleece lined valuables pocket
- Water bottle pocket with drainage port
The Rapid Access Pockets are new to the 2022 model.
In terms of other attachment points, the bag has the following:
- 3-ball low-profile ball holder on the spine (new for 2022)
- An umbrella holder
- Towel loop
- Velcro glove patch
- Marker holder
The bag has our preferred number of pockets with ample storage and specialization. OGIO has done a good job of innovating to best meet golfers’ needs for quick access.
Stability of the Bag
OGIO Stand Bags have historically received consistently favorable reviews for their sturdiness and stability. The Fuse 4 is no exception. While slightly more vertical than some stand bags, the Fuse 4 has a well-constructed leg extension system that is partially internal to the bag. Also, the feet of the legs are substantial and resist sinking into the ground.
The stability features and performance of the bag align with our expectations for an OGIO bag.
