Product Update

OGIO has discontinued the Ozone Stand Bag.

As OGIO merged with Callaway, they re-imagined their entire golf bag product line.  Unfortunately, this fantastic, near five-star bag has been discontinued.

Our favorite OGIO Bag is currently the OGIO Fuse 4 Stand Bag.  Click here for our full review of the Fuse 4 Stand Bag.

Ogio Ozone Stand Bag: Original 2017 Review

Weight

The weight of the OGIO Ozone Stand Bag is 5 pounds, including the strap system.

This weight places the Ozone Bag in the upper end of our preferred carry bags.

Getting Clubs In and Out of the Bag

OGIO Ozone Stand Bag TopThe OGIO Ozone Stand Bag has an oval 9″ x 11″, eight-way opening with full-length dividers. The top is unique because it encourages that your driver, woods, and hybrids be placed down the left side of the bag.

The opening of this bag is our preferred size. We appreciate the full-length dividers and the top’s configuration because it easily accommodates putters with over-sized grips.

The top’s actual shape and layout were unique and are no longer offered in any of OGIO’s offerings.  As a general comment, we find eight openings to be more than necessary for appropriate separation. The top opening loses some amount of space due to the excess of padded dividers.

Ease of Carrying the Bag

The bag has an innovative SHOXX 4-point, full suspension system with two highly padded, molded shoulder straps. The bag has minimal hip padding. The bag has top rim, spine, and bottom handles for easy lifting options.

Many internet reviews applaud the suspension system and overall ease of carrying the bag.

Storage/Pockets

The OGIO Ozone Stand Bag has seven pockets (6 zippered), including:

  • Full-length apparel pocket
  • Weather-resistant fleece-lined valuables pocket
  • Walking accessible insulated water bottle holster

In terms of other attachment points, the bag has a Low-profile OGIO Ball Silo™, which holds three balls on the front of the bag, a Scorecard/Range Finder/GPS Sleeve, a Velcro glove zone, tee holders, and towel ring.

The bag has our preferred number of pockets with ample storage and specialization. We particularly like the ball silo, the full-length apparel pocket, and the insulated water bottle holster.

Stability of the Bag

The OGIO Ozone Stand Bag has received consistently positive reviews for the sturdiness and stability of its stand mechanism and legs. The bag legs are 26.5 inches long, with a 25-inch spread between the feet.  The bottom of the bag is designed for stability when the legs are extended.

The stability features and performance of the bag are in line with our expectations.

Extras

The OGIO Ozone Stand Bag has:

  • Consistent positive feedback on the sturdiness of the bag and its materials
  • A strap suspension system that is highly rated
  • An easily accessible ball silo
  • A rain hood
  • Features that make the bag more cart friendly such as a cart strap channel and contoured bottom designed for an easier fit into a golf cart
  • Four color combinations which are subtle in tone but have excellent color contrasts and piping that make the bag look substantial

Value

OGIO’s suggested retail price had been $199.99.

The $199.99 was a fair MSRP price for a bag with the quality standards of OGIO.
